Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS) Phase 0
EMCS is an electronic system for tracking the movement of excise goods in suspended excise payment regime within the frames of the excise community that has been developed for the needs of the Bulgarian Customs Agency. Phase 0 of the project included the development of a web-based application that comprises the following systems:
- MVS – Movement Verification System
- EWSE – Early Warning System for Excise
- SEED – System for Exchange of Excise Data
The application allows automated receiving and sending of e-mails via CCN Mail 2, automated generation and sending of statistics data, as well as sending of notification to the users about different events that have occurred. CCN/CSI communication has been implemented.
The following software technologies and tools have been used to complete Phase 0: JBoss, Informix DS, IntelliJ Idea, J2EE, Struts, XML, XSLT, Hibernate, Rational Rose, Rational Unified Process, Microsoft Office.
